Couchsurfing 1 seneliğine İstanbul’da kamp kuruyor!

Birkaç saat önce elime ulaşan e-posta’da internet & seyahat severler ve özellikle de biz İstanbul’lular için heyecan verici bir haber vardı ve hemen paylaşmak istedim.  Eski bir yazımda bahsetmiş olduğum “Hayatımı değiştiren iki internet sitesi”nden bir tanesi olan Couchsurfing, tam bir seneliğine İstanbul’a taşınıyor! Bu ne demek: İstanbul’da bir ekip kurulacak, bir sene boyunca dünyanın dört bir yanından gezginler CS İstanbul kolektifine gelip kalacaklar, şehrimizi gezecekler, burada birçok etkinlik düzenleyecekler, ve bunların hepsini internet kullanarak, couchsurfing.com üzerinden organize edecekler.

Dünya çapında bir internet projesi ve organizasyonda çalışmak isterseniz eğer İstanbul ofisinde istihdam edilecek birçok iş pozisyonu açık durumda şu anda: Buraya tıklayıp ulaşabileceğiniz pozisyonlar arasında web geliştirici, koordinatör, hatta şef bile var. Mutlaka göz atın derim.

İstanbul özellikle son birkaç senedir yabancılar arasında çok çok popüler, ve dünyanın “hip” şehirleri arasında. İstanbul’da yaşayan ve şehri görmeye gelen turist sayısında inanılmaz bir artış var. Couchsurfing’in de İstanbul’a renk  katacağı kesin.

Our next Collective — will you be there?

CouchSurfing is pleased to announce the location of our newest Collective — Istanbul, Turkey!  We’ll be moving in and setting up shop in October.  Over the next 12 months, all CS volunteers will have the opportunity to live there, as well as at our headquarters in San Francisco, CA, USA.  Are you interested in traveling the world with us?  We’re now hiring for eight career positions that are compensated with travel, housing, and meals.

A CouchSurfing Collective is where our volunteers live and collaborate on projects.  BaseCamp, our permanent Collective and administrative center, is located in San Francisco.  Alongside this, we’re opening up Collectives in countries around the globe.  Collectives are central to our philosophy.  In exchange for their time and talent, volunteers are given the chance to travel the world.  Our unique model allows volunteers to spend extended amounts of time getting to know new countries and cities while collaborating with other bright and motivated people to create a better world.  From the first Collective in Montreal to the most recent one in Costa Rica, Collectives are one of the strongest benefits we offer to our staff.

We’d love to have you!  Our organization needs a variety of skill sets.

  Vadi eline sağlık, bence de çok önemli bir gelişme, özellikle CouchSurfing'in veritabanındaki üye sayısı düşünülürse ve bu üyelerin İstanbul'a gelmesini teşvik edici projeler üretilirse [Mesela, 2010 kültür başkenti teması] harika olur.

  Kültür başkenti projesi ile bağlantılı olabilir. Hazır İstanbul bu kadar hipken ve 2010 kültür başkentiyken geldiler herhalde, CS'ciler için daha uygun bir zaman olamazdı =)
